You're a real wonder, Faora? *Said a ghost anon as he gives Faora a thumps up.*

"Did you mean to ask that as a question?"

Awfully quiet..

Faora nodded, accepting the information as it was dictated to her. Ari was interesting, that was for sure. And she had potential as an ally on this world. The Kryptonian actually cracked a smile at the younger woman as she lifted her drink to her lips.

"You are quite interesting."

Ariadne took another sip of her drink before smirking, “Thank you. I tend to be from time to tome.”

"So tell me… Why did those men want at you so badly? What is it that you do?" Faora smiled over the rim of her glass, interested in the answer.

ariadnefox:

Reckless. Sounds about right.

Unrefined. Questionable.

Though the talk of a Kryptonian general saying she would recruit her was definitely a small boost of her ego. Ariadne gave a respectful nod to the woman in front of her. “Thank you. I do what I can.” Leaning back in there booth, Ariadne smiled a bit towards her new friend. “Those men have been a thorn in my side for a couple of months. They keep trying to establish themselves as head honchos around here but it’s a poor excuse.” She saw Connor come back over to give them new drinks. “Reason why this one here,” Motioning to Connor with a simple point of her finger, “owes me or he would have two dead bodies on his hand.” Connor gave a small sigh and nodded. “That’s true at least.” he then walked back off to leave the women alone.

Awfully quiet..

ariadnefox:

Ariadne raised her eyebrows for a moment. Well…shit. Second Command is…is pretty up there. Though Ariadne kept her cool before pulling out her cell phone to try and sneak a peek at the men that entered. “Well…if you really want to know. Give it a few minutes.” She murmured before taking another sip of her drink. Placing her phone back into her back pocket, she stood up. “Hello boys.” She greeted with a wicked grin upon her lips. The men turned, narrowing their eyes. There was only three of them. Two brutes and just a smaller chatterbox. “There you are you little bitch.” The smaller one spat. “You owe us from the last mess you caused!”

Ari stood there before tilting her head at the accusation the man had a nerve of saying. “Me? I owe you? If I recall, you were trying to drag two women away from this bar to make yourselves lucky. Your little insects you call men should’ve listened last time. I thought you were here to apologize…Your gang has been a thorn in my side for the last year.” She then smirked as she saw one of the brutes, attempt to scare her as he moved his jacket to flash a gun in his pants.

"How about..I tell you in a way you understand? I’ll have you all running out with your tails between your legs and I would have entertain meant for a moment."

The smaller man just stepped away, “Get her.”

With that, Ariadne just watched a punch go at her face. Grabbing the fist, she pulled so the man lost his balance. She kicked at his feet so he feel on the ground while Ariadne still had a hold on his arm. She quickly slammed her foot into his shoulder to snap his arm out of place. Letting the arm drop, she blocked another punch before jumping back to miss a knife. Waiting, she grabbed his wrist when he went to stab her again only to bend his arm harshly to make the man stab himself in the chest. He howled before the woman turned to slam her elbow into his neck. Kicking feet out form under him, the man joined his coworker on the floor.  She walked at the smaller man, smirking as she grabbed his collar when he tried to run for it. Slamming his head upon the counter, she slid it down before smashing his head on a glass. The man screamed in agony as the glass shards pierced into his face. Throwing him down on the ground, Ariadne stepped on his chest, putting her whole weight on him before slowly pressing her foot on his face.  ”Now…if I hear you all one more time..if you come after me at all. I’ll just murder all of you to stay out of my hair.”

The man sobbed, “P-Please don’t kill me..”
"Louder."
"Please!"
"Can’t hear you."
"Please don’t kill me! I’m just a disgusting worm!"
Ariadne stepped off of him, chuckling darkly. “Good boy..now take your boys..”

The older gentlemen were struggling to get up before walking out the door. Ariadne followed slightly before whistling. “Oh.. you forgot this.” Revealing the gun she had stolen from one of the brutes, she let it go off as she slammed a bullet into one of the brute’s head. “Just a warning…” She then threw the gun at them, wanting nothing of it anymore.

Sliding into the booth, she ignored Connor’s groan of the mess. “So, my name is Ariadne and I’m still a regular human being.” She mused to Faora, smiling innocently.image

Faora watched as the men approached, raising an eyebrow as she peered over the edge of her glass. This was bound to get interesting. Her face was like stone as she watched the verbal exchange, mentally processing the threat and flicking her eyes to watch Ari closely. If there was one thing the Kryptonian could do, it was asses a situation with ease and predict the outcome, that’s what made her such a master tactician. With her influence, she had never lost an engagement. Faora couldn’t help but wonder what the world would be like now if the General had only let her take charge… instead of barreling after Kal-El like a mad dog. He never was the calm one of the two of them.

Her eye twitched slightly at the mention of the men attempting to take advantage of a pair of women. That never settled well with her. Men were animals that she would gladly euthanize in an instant. She soon realized that this woman was much like herself, albeit far more mouthy. Faora sat back coolly as the fight escalated, crossing one leg of the other as she questioned if she would step even if she needed to. Easy answer.

No.

When Ariadne slipped back into the booth, the older woman simply set the now empty glass that had been drained onto the table, catching the bartender’s attention and signaling calmly that she wanted another before tilting her head at the young woman.

“You are reckless, unrefined. I hope you do not take offense at my words.” She calmly linked her fingers together, resting them on her stomach as she reclined back. “Although you are by far the best hand-to-hand combat specialist I have met on this planet so far. If only you had been Kryptonian, I would have recruited you for my squad.”
